In-person lessons in Johannesburg
Questions parents ask most
How do online lessons work?
Lessons run live over video call with a shared digital whiteboard, so learners see every step worked out in real time — just like sitting next to the teacher. All that’s needed is a laptop or tablet and a stable internet connection. Notes and practice work are shared after each session.
Which grades and subjects do you cover?
Crystal Math specialises in Mathematics for Grades 10–12, following the CAPS curriculum, as well as dedicated NBT (National Benchmark Test) preparation for matric learners applying to university.
Are lessons one-on-one or in groups?
Both are available. One-on-one lessons give fully personalised attention, while small groups keep lessons affordable and add healthy peer motivation. We’ll recommend the best fit after chatting through the learner’s needs and goals.
What happens in the first lesson?
In the first lesson we work through a few problems together to map exactly where the gaps are, then build a structured plan around them. Parents receive clear feedback on what we found and how we’ll close the gaps.
When are NBT workshops held?
NBT workshops run ahead of the national test dates each year, covering the MAT component with practice papers and test strategy. Dates are announced on the NBT Workshop page and to our newsletter — enquire early, as spaces are limited.
How do parents stay informed of progress?
Parents receive regular feedback on what was covered, how the learner is progressing and what to focus on next. You’ll never have to wonder whether the lessons are working — the communication (and the marks) will show it.
